Job Title: Senior Quality AnalystExperience Required: 3+ yearsLocation: RemoteAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Quality Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our products by designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—developers, product managers, and other stakeholders—to deliver high-quality software solutions. As a senior member of the QA team, you will also mentor junior analysts and help shape the overall testing and quality assurance processes.Key Responsibilities1. Test Strategy & Planning• Develop and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.2. Test Execution & Automation• Execute manual and automated tests (functional, regression, performance, etc.) to identify defects.• Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent.• Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.3. Defect Management• Document, track, and manage defects using issue-tracking tools like Jira or similar.• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues.4. Continuous Improvement• Contribute to the refinement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.• Identify areas of improvement in the current testing framework and propose actionable solutions.• Stay current with emerging testing tools and technologies.5. Collaboration & Leadership• Mentor junior QA analysts by providing guidance on test design, automation techniques, and overall best practices.• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure seamless integration of QA activities.• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan releases and ensure timely delivery.6. Reporting & Documentation• Provide regular status updates on test progress, quality metrics, and issues to stakeholders.• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test scenarios, test cases, and test results.Requirements & Qualifications• Experience: 3+ years in software testing or quality assurance, with a track record of successfully delivering high-quality products.• Technical Proficiency:• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and life cycle.• Experience with both manual and automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent).• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and issue tracking systems (Jira).• Soft Skills:• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to mentor team members and lead QA initiatives.• Preferred Experience:• Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases for data validation and testing.• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.Educational Background• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
