Overview:We are seeking a Data Modeler with a strong background in cybersecurity to design secure, scalable, and compliant data models that support the organisation’s data architecture and cyber operations. This role acts as a critical bridge between data engineering and information security teams, ensuring sensitive assets, systems, and devices are properly represented and protected.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement secure, high-performance data models aligned with Snowflake best practices.Leverage dbt to build, transform, and test scalable ETL pipelines within Snowflake.Classify and manage data assets, enforcing access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).Model and integrate cybersecurity-related data to support incident detection, forensic analysis, and reporting.Apply Snowflake’s native security capabilities including row-level access policies, dynamic data masking, and role-based access controls.Collaborate closely with cyber operations teams to define data requirements for threat monitoring, device tracking, and security event logging.Maintain robust data governance, ensuring data quality, lineage, and auditability.Support SIEM/SOAR integrations by modeling log sources and security event data structures.Requirements:Proven experience in data modeling, with tools such as ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or dbt.Proficiency in SQL, preferably with Snowflake, including schema optimisation and data normalization.Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, or prior experience collaborating with InfoSec teams.Experience working with security-related datasets (e.g., assets, vulnerabilities, IAM logs, threat intel).Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration tools.Knowledge of cloud data platforms, with a preference for AWS.Nice to Have:Exposure to regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)Experience integrating data with SIEM/SOAR platformsStrong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
