If this appeals to you, please read on!Job Title:Manufacturing Planner Location:Coimbatore.The Planner Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production operations to ensure efficient use of resources, timely delivery of products, and alignment with business goals for YES-US Fremont and H&I Korea (Contract Manufacturer) sites. This role includes managing production planning, inventory control, materials planning, and coordination with other departments to meet demand forecasts and minimize production delays.Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:Production Planning & Scheduling: Experienced in creating business processes areas where deem necessary. Monitor production performance: Track key metrics like lead times, inventory levels, and capacity utilization to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and procurement to ensure alignment and meet customer demands. Develop and implement master production schedules to meet business objectives, demand forecasts, and capacity constraints. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any delays or changes in demand. Lead and mentor a team: Provide guidance and support to production staff & planners, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. Inventory Management & Material Planning: Ensure inventory levels are optimized to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence. Coordinate with procurement and warehousing to manage material flow and storage. Forecast material requirements and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present reports: Provide regular reports on production performance, inventory levels, and capacity utilization to stakeholders. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Resource Allocation: Plan for workforce and equipment utilization, ensuring optimal efficiency & minimal downtime. Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to mitigate bottlenecks. Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Just-In-Time (JIT) principles where applicable. Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on goals and schedules. Communicate production status, challenges, and solutions to senior management.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree or certification (e.g., APICS CPIM, PMP) is a plus. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management. Available to work in US – Pacific Standard Time. Proven experience in leadership roles, with strong capabilities in managing teams and cross-functional projects. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to changing demands and work under pressure. In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory control. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Just-In-Time (JIT) principles. Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
