The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategic business plans. Day-to-day tasks include market research, networking, attending industry events, and negotiating contracts. The role also involves collaborating with the marketing and product development teams to align on business objectives and ensure client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities Lead the identification and pursuit of high-value B2B business opportunities across commercial, hospitality, retail, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, aligning efforts with the company’s strategic growth objectives.Cultivate and manage high-impact relationships with senior decision-makers including leading architects, principal lighting consultants, heads of MEP firms, PMC leadership, and top-tier contractors to position the company as a preferred lighting solutions partner.Oversee the end-to-end business development cycle, ensuring seamless coordination between sales, design, production, and installation teams to deliver premium client experiences.Mentor and guide junior BD executives, supporting their development and ensuring alignment with company sales processes, technical understanding, and customer engagement standards.Represent the company at high-level industry forums, trade shows, panel discussions, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and drive new business alliances.Analyze industry shifts, competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and emerging technologies, and provide actionable insights to the leadership team for proactive strategy adjustments.Achieve and exceed revenue targets and strategic KPIs, while maintaining a strong focus on long-term client relationships and repeat business through value-driven engagement.Support the leadership team in strategic planning, business forecasting, and expansion initiatives, offering market intelligence and business insights to guide company-wide decisions.Qualifications3–4 years of proven business development experience in the lighting, electrical, or building materials industry with a focus on B2B sales.Solid existing relationships and experience dealing with architects, lighting consultants, PMC firms, MEP consultants, and contractors.Deep understanding of lighting systems, product specifications, and application in commercial and infrastructure projects.Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate client needs into viable lighting solutions.Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end project engagements, including coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach.Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
