The ideal candidate should possess a good understanding of the Trade Life Cycle and be proficient in Python, SQL, Docker and CI/CD processes. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate good soft skills, including being a self-starter, proactive, as well as having excellent communication and documentation skills.What you will be doing:As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be involved in:In this position you will be working as an experienced QA Analyst integrated within one of our specialist development teams, providing a valuable skillset to solve complex automation problems and innovative automation solutions for fast tracking releases. As an individual contributor you will:Get involved across our agile project teams to help define test cases and fulfilling test requirements to make sure quality is kept at the heart of the process.Expanding and maintain automation frameworksTaking ownership of test planning and execution.Be the quality champion within your teamDocumenting test cases and detailed scripts with test management tools, and demonstrating test coverage of the requirementsContributing and reviewing test automation scripts to integrate with our CI/CD pipeline to ensure errors are caught as early as possible.Managing test activities and recording KPIs.Working collaboratively with the development team to ensure a high standard of deliverablesInvestigating, logging, reporting, escalating and working collaboratively to resolve defects.What you will need:Hands-on experience in Automation Framework implementation using Python, CI/CD (Github Actions / Jenkins), SQL, Docker.Functional and automation testing experience (both backend and frontend) with a good understanding of industry-wide QA processes.Proficiency in SQL, including creating complex queries to pull data from multiple tables using joins.Good understanding of the Trade Life Cycle or experience working in Capital markets Post trade platforms.Strong grasp of of UNIX/Linux commands and scripting preferredExposure to UI automationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Goal orientated mindsetAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingSelf-starter with a proactive attitude.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of Agile SCRUM and experience in agile testingAdded bonus if you have:Docker / Kubernetes experienceExperience building Performance Testing frameworksExperience of financial markets and the trade lifecycle API and GUI test automation expertise.What we offer you:At FIS, you can learn, grow and make an impact in your career.
