Job Description

Job Role: Manager - Security & VigilanceJob Purpose:Effectively manage the security network, assets, material pilferage, risk mitigation, theft perception and redressal in order to ensure site operations are free of any disruptions.Required experience:Ex armed forces / police (necessarily as an Officer) Minimum 5 years of experience in security and intelligence gathering, knowledge of a cell site incl material, clean past record is a must (No police record) Good analytical skills, outstanding network inside the state.Rank Required:Colonel / above colonelMajor Activities:SMS Management Manage SMS partners and ensure effective control and monitoring of operations on the ground Ensure statutory compliances are obtained and implemented in a timely manner Conduct SMS Partner Governance as per defined framework and review the performance on regular basis Effective cost management for security management services (SMS) and look for opportunities to optimize the cost Ensure compliance for Patrolling Beat Plan Ensure effective utilization of OSDs in terms of defining key deliverables, assigning tasks, review and measure performanceTheft Control Monitor the external environment and assess potential threats Ensure effective liasioning with local administrative bodies Liaise with external authorities such as police officials and other authorities within the jurisdiction of Indus Tower sites Ensure ground issues are resolved in a timely manner in order to avoid disruptions to sites Collect and consolidate data from field agencies and ensure protection of assets Evolve new initiatives / safety projects for theft control at circle levelFIR/DDR Registration Liaison with police for 100% FIR / DDR registration SMS partner compliance on FIR/DDR registration and assurance returns Ensure outcome of the FIR is obtained in timebound manner Submission of closure report for the incidencesSite Access & Inventory Control Provide support to estate teams for assured access on the sites by means of liasioning with security agencies Ensure regular patrolling of cell sites Ensure VTS (Vehicle Tracking) compliance for Circle Reduction in captured site and energy theft Presence on site is must in this role to ensure the controls in place.Your Stakeholders:Internal: With SCM as seeker (For PO's/Agreement related to SMS/Procurement of security gadgetry), Legal as seeker (Agreement / legal notices and superdari issues) Opex as seeker (All payments/Procurements) Estate and deployment as provider (Access/Hold sites/Locked sites resolutions) HR/IR as seeker (For labour laws and other allied compliances).External: SMS partners, Police, Local administration, OSDMajor Challenges: FIR/DDR registration, statutory compliances, vehicle monitoring during patrolling, day patrols, SOP and Processes following, state liaison, man/ material movement management at sites, Recovery of stolen materials through superdari process (Legal)Minimum Educational Qualifications to perform this job:Graduate in any discipline, preferably a post graduateKnowledge Required:Risk mitigation planning, pilferage, business continuity planning, cell site knowledge, material management (Desirable- Telecom knowledge)Skills / Competencies:Certified protection professional, personnel management skills, intelligence/info collection skills, leadership qualities. Basis Military/Police training/ certified protection specialists.Software / Tools:MS office knowledge - Very good knowledge and hands on experience for MS Excel & PowerPoint requiredIndustry : Essentially Telecom, however, security specialists from any Industry can be hired based on experience and domain knowledge, experienced personnel from other allied industries.Describe a typical day / week in this role: AOM wise report on theft and patrolling (25%). FIR/DDR registration and clearance of pendency (15%). PO and Payments of partners (15%). Theft tracker at circle level (20%). Police mediation on specific events/incidents (15%). Security personnel mediation on critical issues (10%)
