Located in Motera, Ahmedabad, we are dedicated to supporting modern agricultural needs.Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Agronomist located in Motera, Ahmedabad. The Senior Agronomist will be responsible for managing soil science, overseeing agricultural practices, designing and managing irrigation systems, conducting research, and providing plant nutrition services. The role involves daily interaction with farm operations to ensure optimal plant growth and yield, and requires consulting on best practices and innovations in agronomy.Research and Development: Conduct field trials, experiments, and research to evaluate crop performance and develop new agronomic strategies.Soil Analysis and Management: Analyze soil health and fertility, providing recommendations for amendments, treatments, and water management.Crop Management: Develop and implement agronomic practices to enhance crop yield and quality, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest/disease control.Monitoring and Assessment: Monitor crop production and environmental conditions, assessing the impact of climatic conditions and other factors on crop growth and development.Qualifications Expertise in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition Experience in Agriculture and Irrigation Strong research skills related to agronomy Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and consultancy skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field Master's degree or higher in an agronomy-related field preferred Experience in working with protected cultivation environments is a plus
