Zonal Head Sales and Key Account Management (West) Business Unit:Public Alternatives Team – EdelweissLocation:Mumbai Reporting To:Head of Sales Job Summary:Preference will be given to candidates with experience in AIF and strong end-preference for those with PMS exposure.This role is part of thePublic Alternatives team at Edelweiss , responsible for leading sales strategy, execution, and key account management across theWestern region . The ideal candidate will be a high-performing sales leader with a deep understanding of investment products, distribution channels, and client servicing, particularly in the alternative investments space. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team across the West zone. Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance tracking. Distribution Network Development Strengthen relationships with existing wealth firms, IFAs, and institutional partners. Identify and onboard new channels to drive deeper market penetration. Key Account Management Manage key clients and strategic accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and opportunity mining. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement a Go-To-Market plan focused on AIF and PMS products. Ensure full regulatory compliance in all sales and distribution activities. Sales Performance Management Own and deliver zonal sales targets with quarterly milestones and KPIs. Drive an optimal and diversified product/channel mix. Market Insights & Intelligence Monitor competitor activity, investor behavior, and product trends to support business planning. Share regular market feedback with product and leadership teams. Reporting & Reviews Prepare and deliver MIS reports, sales dashboards, and performance reviews. Track team development needs and coordinate training interventions. Candidate Profile: Experience: 8–12 years of relevant experience infinancial services sales and distribution , with strong exposure toAIF and PMS . Proven success managing a regional or zonal role (ideally covering Maharashtra, Gujarat, and other Western states). Education & Certifications (Preferred): Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or related fields. Certifications such asCFP, CWM, CFAare a plus. Skills & Competencies: Strong sales acumen with deep product knowledge inPublic Alternatives , especially AIFs and PMS. Excellent relationship management and leadership skills.
