Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Student Counsellor with a strong backgroundin early childhood education and behavioural management. The ideal candidate will play a criticalrole in supporting the emotional, social, and developmental needs of preschool-aged children. Thisrole also includes acting as the primary point of contact for all parent communications regarding childbehaviour and development.Key Responsibilities:• Serve as the primary liaison between the school and parents for all matters concerning studentdevelopment, behaviour, and emotional well-being.• Conduct developmental screenings and behavioral assessments to identify early signs oflearning delays, speech issues, social-emotional difficulties, or other developmental concerns.• Offer individual and group counselling to children dealing with challenges such as aggressivebehaviour, separation anxiety, attention issues, or difficulty adjusting to school routines.• Collaborate with teachers to observe and monitor student behaviour in classroom settings andrecommend strategies to support their growth.• Develop and implement intervention plans and behaviour modification strategies for studentsin need of additional support.• Counsel children demonstrating disruptive behaviours such as hurting others, tantrums,withdrawal, or difficulty in social interaction.• Maintain confidential records of assessments, parent meetings, and interventions.• Provide guidance and support to teachers on managing classroom behaviour and creating aninclusive learning environment.• Organize parenting workshops, guidance sessions, and regular feedback meetings to supportholistic child development.• Support the transition of children into preschool and throughout different classroom stages bypromoting emotional security and resilience.Qualifications and Skills:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, or relatedfield• Minimum 2 years of experience in a preschool environment, specifically working with earlychildhood age group• Strong understanding of child psychology, developmental milestones, and early learningchallenges• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective parent engagement• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and patience• Training or certification in counselling, early intervention, or special education is an addedadvantage
