Senior Performance EngineerMandate 5+ Years of experienceRole Requirements:Archer is looking for solid folks in Performance Engineering with the following MUST-HAVES:Locust with Python experienceExposure to Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CDHands-on with AWSExperience with SQL Server and Postgres DBKey Responsibilities:Develop, enhance, and maintain Locust performance scripts using PythonDesign scenarios simulating real-world usage and traffic patternsPerform script enhancement and parameterization to ensure robustness and reusabilityExecute performance test scripts in containerized environments using Docker and KubernetesManage Locust execution on Kubernetes clustersAutomate Locust script execution through CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with DevOps and Development teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD lifecycleAnalyze test results and generate performance reports, including throughput, latency, response time, and error ratesIdentify application bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis, and provide tuning recommendationsWork with AWS (or other cloud platforms) to deploy, scale, and monitor performance tests in cloud-native environmentsWrite, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries along with enhancement and readability of stored procedures for performance testing back-end systemsHands-on with SQL Server – Must be able to read, modify, and tune stored proceduresExposure to Postgres DB is a plusDevelop and maintain performance test strategies and test plansDefine KPIs, SLAs, workload models, and success criteriaGuide the team on best practices and drive performance engineering mindsetMust-Have Qualifications:Proven experience with Locust and Python for performance testingWorking knowledge of MicroservicesHands-on with Kubernetes and Docker – particularly with running Locust in containerized environmentsExperience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelinesStrong AWS (or cloud) experience, with performance test deployments on cloud infrastructureSolid understanding of SQL Server – including stored procedures, query tuning, and DB performance analysisStrong background in performance test planning, strategy creation, and executionGood-to-Have Skills:Exposure to Postgres DBFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.
