In this role, you will use a consultative sales approach to connect aspiring tech professionals and organizations with the right CodeByte upskilling and interview prep solutions. You will own the entire sales lifecycle – from prospecting and outreach through follow-up and closing – for individual enrollments as well as institutional partnerships. As a Sales Specialist, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to prospective learners, guiding them through important career decisions and demonstrating how CodeByte’s programs can help accelerate their growth. This is a target-driven role ideal for a self-starter who is passionate about EdTech and capable of balancing consultative selling with meeting ambitious revenue goals.Key ResponsibilitiesConsultative Selling (B2C): Engage with prospective learners via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand their career goals and skill gaps. Provide personalized counseling and mentorship, helping them chart an upskilling path and guiding them to the right CodeByte courses to advance their careers Build trust and rapport by offering honest, empathetic advice on how our programs can meet their needs.B2B Client Engagement: Identify and pursue opportunities with companies, colleges, and training partners that could benefit from CodeByte’s upskilling and interview preparation solutions. Initiate conversations with HR and L&D stakeholders, conduct needs analysis, and propose tailored training solutions for their teams. Forge long-term partnerships with corporate clients and academic institutions by delivering compelling product demos and presentations that address their workforce development objectives.Lead Generation & Outreach: Proactively generate and follow up on leads through multiple channels – including inbound inquiries, LinkedIn networking, industry events, and cold outreach. Qualify leads effectively and nurture them through the sales funnel. Leverage a consultative approach to present CodeByte’s value proposition aligned to each prospect’s unique needs.Target Achievement: Consistently meet and strive to exceed your weekly and monthly sales KPIs, including revenue targets and enrollment numbers. Monitor your performance metrics (e.g. call volume, conversion rates, pipeline velocity) and take initiative to improve outcomes. Bring a results-driven mindset while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.Collaboration and Feedback: Work closely with the marketing team to handle qualified leads from campaigns and to provide feedback on lead . Collaborate with the product and content teams by sharing insights gathered from your sales conversations (common learner questions, objections, industry trends). This market feedback loop will help refine our offerings and messaging for greater .Customer Relationship & After-Sales: Ensure new learners or clients have a smooth onboarding experience. Collaborate with the customer success team to hand over corporate accounts or student enrollments with context. Nurture relationships with your customers even after the sale – act as a point of contact for any queries, gather testimonials or referrals, and encourage course completion success. A satisfied learner or client can lead to repeat business and referrals, so you’ll foster long-term trust.Market and Domain Expertise: Stay informed about EdTech industry developments, competing upskilling programs, and tech job market trends. This domain knowledge will enable you to have credible, informed conversations with tech-savvy candidates and corporate stakeholders. Continuously update your understanding of emerging technologies (AI, data science, full-stack development, etc.) and hiring requirements in the tech industry, so you can position CodeByte’s offerings as timely and relevant solutions.Qualifications and SkillsExperience: 2–5 years of successful experience in sales or business development, preferably in EdTech, training, or related high-ticket B2C services. Experience selling educational products or technology courses is a strong advantage. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role is required.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. (MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.)Consultative Selling Ability: Demonstrated skill in needs-based selling and consultative sales techniques. Excellent listening skills and empathy, with the ability to ask the right questions to uncover a prospect’s goals and challenges. Rather than a hard-sell approach, you excel at advising customers and ethically influencing their decisions by highlighting true value.Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication in English. You can confidently converse with mid-career professionals as well as senior corporate stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly and clear presentation abilities to explain product value propositions or give demos to groups. (Knowledge of additional Indian languages is a bonus, as we cater to a diverse learner base.)Tech Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of the technology domain or a strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with popular software development, data science, AI/ML, or other tech topics will help you connect with learners and discuss course content credibly. Keeping up with industry trends in tech hiring and skills development is expected.Results & Target Orientation: Goal-driven mindset with a knack for hitting numbers. Comfortable working with sales targets, metrics, and deadlines.
