Role Engineering Manager-BackendLocation BangaloreTekion is looking for a talented Engineering Managers who wants to be part of building the next- generation business applications on the cloud.Software Engineer will use his/herpassion and expertise for creating world-class products. He/she will collaborate with the product and engineering teams and development managers to createthe business application of the future.Key Responsibilities Lead our backend or full-stack engineering team. This team building the API's and services to powerour back-end experiences across web, as well as front-end web development. You not only have the technical chops to roll up sleeves and provide technical leadership to major projects, but also build and manage a team of 10-15 top notch engineers. You not only optimizeyour own code but make sure engineersare able to optimize theirs. As an Engineering Manageryou manage your business goals,contribute to productstrategy and help develop your team. Create clear career pathsfor team membersand help them grow with regular & deep mentoring. Perform regular performance evaluation and share and seek feedback. You work closely with Product Management, Business Development and Operations team andenable them by providing scalable and high-quality technology solutions at a rapid pace. Set up best practicesfor development and champion their adoption and at the same time Architect & design technically robust, flexible and scalable solutions. Work with designers, business analysts, and product managersto estimate and plan projects in an Agile environment. Perform well in uncertainties and collaborate and work with unclear interfaces to other teams inour rapidly evolving organizationsSkills & Qualifications Above 12 years of experience with technology depth as well as good people skills. 5+ years of combinedprofessional software engineering experience as an engineering manager or tech lead. A BE/BTech in ComputerScience or some equivalent academicstance. Good experience in Productdevelopment using Java, Spring boot, Spring MVC, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis Cache, Javascript ( Reactjs/Redux.js ) etc. Excellent leadership skills to mentorthe engineers underyou. Deep understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available setup. Deep understanding & expertisewith highly transactional, large relational and complex systems. Strong object-oriented design skills,and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces. Superior project management skills to manage multi-engineer projects and experience of delivering high quality projects on time. Able to establish credibility with smart engineersquickly and providelonger term visionand motivation
