LearningMate is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedInstructional Designerto join our dynamic course development team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project leads, and content developers to design and develop engaging, effective, and high-quality learning experiences. You will be responsible for end-to-end instructional design, from defining course structure and learning outcomes to delivering fully developed content across a variety of academic and professional education topics. Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with SMEs to determine course structure, define learning objectives, and outline content scope and sequence. Translate complex subject matter into clear, engaging, and learner-centric content appropriate for a diverse student audience. Design instructional materials including module overviews, activities, assessments, discussion prompts, case studies, and multimedia storyboards. Ensure that all course components align with instructional best practices, adult learning principles, and program-level learning outcomes. Work with Learning Mate’s lead or project manager to ensure alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and client expectations. Participate in regular project meetings to report on progress, discuss challenges, and implement feedback. Apply instructional design models (such as ADDIE or backward design) to guide the course development process. Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG) and universal design for learning (UDL) principles. Review and revise course content based on internal quality assurance feedback and SME/client input. Maintain accurate documentation of course design plans, revisions, and version control throughout the development cycle. Qualifications : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. 3+ yearsof experience in instructional design, preferably inHigher Education,K12,orCorporatetraining. Experience designing asynchronous, blended, or online courses using LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas). Strong understanding of curriculum development, adult learning theory, and instructional design models. Excellent writing, editing, and visual communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with the MS Suite, especially MS Word, PowerPoint, and possibly Excel.
