In this role, you will undertake policy and regulatory research efforts, engaging regularly with internal stakeholders, including CXOs, while also managing key relationships across India’s policy and regulatory landscape. Your responsibilities will include tracking existing and emerging regulations, developing research papers, policy reports, and stakeholder representations, maintaining knowledge databases, and building strategic partnerships to strengthen and amplify the voice of the online skill gaming industry.This is a full-time position and will be based in our Delhi office, with the flexibility to travel frequently across Indian states.Responsibilities- Lead and drive innovation-focused initiatives and strategic partnerships, spearheading cross-sector programs that align with Games24x7's policy and business priorities. This includes conceptualizing and executing forward-looking engagements, fostering collaborations with think tanks, academic institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders, and ensuring these initiatives position the company as a tech first company. - Monitor, analyze, and interpret policy and regulatory developments at the central and state levels relevant to gaming, technology, sports, AI, and digital innovation. - Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including government officials, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and sports governance institutions. - Oversee the administrative and operational aspects of the public policy team, including research pipelines, documentation, dashboards, and reporting. - Coordinate with legal, product, finance, marketing, and communications teams to ensure policy strategies are integrated across business functions. - Maintain a robust, accessible internal knowledge repository and ensure periodic dissemination of insights to CXOs and other internal stakeholders. - Work closely with think-tanks, non-profit organisations, and industry bodies to develop engagement strategies, and collaborative proposals to encourage regulation of online skill gaming in India - Assist in building and creating collateral materials on Games24x7’s position as the industry leader in responsible online skill gaming backed by extensive scientific research - Proactively analyse data to answer key questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity - Benchmark global legal and policy best practices; develop literature on these matters for use by the larger policy team - Closely work with CXO’s on any allied fields of R&D requiredRequired Qualifications- A Masters degree in economics, finance, statistics, law, public policy, or business administration would be preferred - 5+ years work experience in engaging with policy makers, legislators, and regulatory institutions - Proven ability to independently lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives involving multiple external and internal stakeholders. - Demonstrated understanding of India’s political, legal, and administrative ecosystem, with prior experience engaging with state and central government bodies, regulatory institutions, and industry associations. - Strong research and analytical capabilities, including experience designing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative studies (e.g., surveys, sentiment analysis, econometric models). - Proficiency in tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel,; familiarity with visualization or research software (e.g., Tableau, Stata, NVivo) is a plus. - Ability to translate complex regulatory or legal frameworks into accessible policy content for CXOs and decision-makers. - Track record of partnership building with think tanks, academic institutions, or civil society to co-create policy or research outcomes. - Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to develop persuasive content under tight deadlines. - A self-starter with curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and a strong grasp of the evolving regulatory discourse in online gaming, AI, and digital innovation.
