Company Overview:Regent Defence and Engineering Systems Limited (RDESL), spread over 8.5 acres in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India, has been manufacturing and supplying critical electromechanical and mechanical spares for T-72 and T-90 and BMP tank variants to the ordnance factories and army depots under Indian Ministry of Defence (MOD) and abroad for the last three decades. RDESL is certified by the Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) for all its tank supplies. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in ECE / EEE/ Mechanical (listed in order of preference)15–18 years of experience, with at least 5 years in defence or aerospace manufacturing.Strong understanding of defence manufacturing standards and practices.Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.Familiarity with CNC and VMC machines, electro-mechanical assemblies, and precision manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & ControlDevelop and implement efficient production schedules in coordination with planning and engineering teams.Allocate resources (manpower, materials, and machines) to meet production targets.Ensure optimal utilization of plant capacity while minimizing downtime and waste.2. Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure compliance and other relevant defence standards.Work closely with the QA/QC department to resolve production quality issues.Participate in internal and external audits, including those by defence agencies (e.g., DRDO, DGQA, MoD).3. Team & Operations ManagementLead and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators.Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff.Maintain discipline, safety, and morale on the shop floor.·       Develop Multi-Skilling & Workforce Development4. Inventory & Material ManagementCoordinate with planning and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of critical components and materials.Monitor inventory levels to reduce overstock and prevent shortages.5. Cost Control & EfficiencyMonitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures.6. Technical OversightInterpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Work with R&D and engineering teams to support commissioning and troubleshooting of new machinery and equipment.7. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and compliance activities.Prepare reports for senior management on production KPIs, issues, and project updates.Time management and multitasking ability
