Job Summary:LearningMate is seeking a skilled and dedicated Moodle LMS Administrator to manage and maintain our Learning Management System (LMS) based on the Moodle platform. The Moodle LMS Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, technical support, user management, course management, system configuration, and overall health of the Moodle environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and a passion for enabling effective online learning experiences.Responsibilities:● System Administration and Maintenance:○ Administer, configure, and maintain the Moodle LMS environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.○ Manage system settings, user roles, permissions, and access controls.○ Perform regular system health checks, backups, and implement disaster recovery procedures.○ Plan, coordinate, and execute Moodle upgrades, patches, and plugin installations in collaboration with relevant teams.○ Monitor server resources and collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure adequate capacity and performance.● User Management and Support:○ Manage user accounts, including creation, enrollment, suspension, and deletion.○ Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users (instructors, students, administrators) on Moodle-related issues.○ Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials for Moodle users.○ Conduct training sessions for staff and faculty on effective Moodle usage and best practices.● Course Management:○ Assist instructors and course developers with the creation, setup, and management of online courses within Moodle.○ Manage the uploading, organization, and maintenance of course materials, assignments, and assessments.○ Configure course settings, enrollment methods, and access restrictions.○ Ensure course content and system configurations comply with institutional policies and e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).● System Configuration and Customization:○ Configure and manage Moodle themes, branding elements, and layouts to align with the organization's visual identity.○ Implement and manage plugins and integrations to extend Moodle functionality and integrate with other systems (e.g., student information systems, video conferencing tools).○ Customize Moodle features and functionalities based on stakeholder feedback and organizational needs.● Reporting and Analytics:○ Generate and analyze reports on user engagement, course completion rates, and system performance using Moodle's built-in analytics and external reporting tools.○ Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve course design, learner engagement, and system usage.● Security and Compliance:○ Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices to protect user data and system integrity.○ Ensure the LMS platform complies with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.○ Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary security measures.● Collaboration and Communication:○ Collaborate effectively with instructional designers, IT teams, faculty, and other stakeholders to optimize the use of the Moodle LMS.○ Communicate effectively with users regarding system updates, maintenance schedules, and any known issues.○ Participate in meetings and contribute to the planning and development of e-learning initiatives.● Documentation:○ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Moodle configurations, processes, and procedures.Qualifications and Skills:● Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field.● Proven experience 5+ years as a Moodle LMS Administrator or in a similar role.● Strong understanding of Moodle architecture, installation, configuration, and management.● Experience with user management, roles, and permissions within Moodle.● Proficiency in managing course creation, enrollment, and settings.● Experience with Moodle plugins, integrations, and customization.● Familiarity with server environments (Linux or Windows Server) and basic database concepts (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).● Knowledge of e-learning standards such as SCORM and xAPI.● Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.● Familiarity with data analysis and reporting within Moodle.● Understanding of data security and privacy best practices.Preferred Qualifications:● Experience with specific Moodle plugins relevant to our organizational needs (e.g., [List relevant plugins]).● Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for customization purposes.● Experience with integrating Moodle with third-party systems (e.g., SSO, video conferencing).● Familiarity with accessibility standards for online learning content.If you are an immediate joiner, please share your updated CV on sonali.kumari@ with the subject line Name_LMS Admin_Linkedin Application.
