Project Description:Join this exciting team of testing professionals who serve a bank in Australia. To secure this position, you need to have a proven track record in testing banking applications as well as experience, preferably in Lending. You will be required to work with various stakeholders and have a level of familiarization with Agile testing methodologies. The work involves managing and creating testing requirements for various internal teams.Responsibilities:Test InitiationSupport QA manager in test initiation phase on requirement analysis and test effort estimationTest PlanReview and understand the project-specific business requirementDocument the question and get the answer using clarification trackersIdentify the testable requirements, impacted application, and processIdentify the test environment and test data requirementsProvide data point to QA manager to consolidate in the strategy documentsMap the requirement in the traceability metricsRaise the test environment and test data requestsPrepare the test cases and peer reviewParticipate in the test review walkthroughs and capture the review commentsIncorporate the review comments and baseline the test plan artefactsTest ExecutionParticipate in the daily stand-up and raise the concerns and recommendations (if any)Work on test allocation based on the entry criteriaExecute and mentor the junior resourcesCapture the test results and log the defects as per the defined templateParticipate in the defect triage and identify the resolutions with the help build teamRetest and close the defectsSupport QA manager on the daily reportsPeriodically review the test results and traceability metrics and work with QA manager on any deviation (if any)Test ClosureReview the traceability metrics and organise the test artifacts in the designated foldersReview the exit criteria and update the checklistEnd state the defects with appropriate remarksSupport the QA manager on the test summary report data pointsParticipate in the retro / lesson learnt session and contributeEncourage the junior resources on their outstanding contributionsMandatory Skills Description:4 to 10 years experience as a Test Analyst or EngineerExposure to SDLC and STLCWorking knowledge in BFSI domain - Core banking, Cards, Payments, and LendingStrong Experience in the testing of Core Banking SystemTest methodology - Waterfall, Agile and DevOpsTesting expertise - Requirement gathering, Test planning techniques, Defect managementLayer Testing experience - Presentation layer (Web GUI & Mobile application), Logical layer (APIs), and Data layer (Database & Reporting tools)Exposure to API testing tools - ex: Postman, JMeter and Soup UIExposure to integration test tools - ex: Jenkins, Azure pipeline or AWS pipelinesExposure to collaboration tools - ex: Jira, Confluence, teams SharePointExposure to test & defect management tools - ex: ALM and JiraClear understanding on test governanceNice-to-Have Skills Description:Understanding on Automation framework, Performance testing and ETL & database testingUnderstanding on Core banking application - Temenos T24
