The role will position you to support on all aspects of a Corporate Real Estate or Facility Management engagement.Your work profileAs an Assistant Manager in our Real Asset Advisory practice, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You will be:Have a good understanding of the industry and sub-sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, agriculture, development and land properties;Have an in-depth understanding of real estate valuation concepts including key cash flow and valuation drivers;Thorough understanding of major real estate valuation approaches – Cost approach (RCN, Residual approach), Direct Comparison approach and Income approach (Capitalization approach and DCF);Responsible for conducting research and analysis for key valuation drivers or benchmarking rentals, vacancies, rates of return including cap rates, discount rates, etc.;Developing and maintaining financial modelsDefine and challenge client requirements and identify means of solving commercial and real estate problemsSynthesize market information to be used in valuation, appraisals, competitive analysis, industry analysis, negotiation support and various other applicationsCompiling and analyzing relevant company and industry information, originating from a broad variety of sources (such as financial databases, industry publications, financial statements and public disclosures)Supporting the team in the preparation of both internal and external presentations, business development and marketing initiativesBe responsible for providing day to day oversight and support for more junior team membersBe a strong team player, capable of fulfilling different roles within project teamSupport and coordinate specific bids that align with your goals Support Deloitte member firms’ (Canadian, UK, Australian, Middle East and European) real estate valuation practiceProvide guidance to, supervise and review the work of junior team membersLiaise and develop relations with engagement team members in Canada, Australia, UK, Middle East and Europe as requiredWork towards tight deadlines, adding value to complex and high-profile projectsDemonstrate strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solvingDesired qualificationsCivil EngineerMBA (preferably in Real estate) / CAMRICS certified members will be preferredSkills Required In order to be considered for this role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of Valuation services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:4+ years of relevant work experienceIn-depth understanding of Corporate Real Estate or Facility ManagementExperience with any real estate firms such as CBRE, JLL, Savills, C&W etc.Good power point presentation skills and advanced excel skillsGood interpersonal skills - confident communication style to allow effective communication with on-shore clients.
