Position: Head - Process Engineering, Specialty Carbon BusinessEducation: BE | BTech (Chemical)Years of work experience: 15 to 18 Location: Vijayanagar, Bellary, KarnatakaJob description:Leadership & Management:Lead, mentor, and manage the technical team, including chemists, process engineers, and lab analysts.Develop and implement departmental goals, KPIs, and strategies aligned with company objectives.Process Development & Optimization:Drive innovation in specialty carbon materials and chemical processes.Optimize manufacturing processes for improved efficiency, yield, and product quality.Coordinate pilot trials and scale-up activities.Monitor and analyze daily technical reports to track operational performance and identify variances.Conduct in-depth analysis of process parameters to ensure optimal performance and product consistency.Identify process constraints and recommend targeted actions for operational improvement.Support the design, evaluation, and validation of new CAPEX projects to enhance plant capability.Identify critical improvement areas and drive the implementation of effective corrective actions.Assess quality enhancement opportunities and develop structured action plans for continual improvement.Technical Support & Troubleshooting:Provide technical guidance and solutions for production-related issues.Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve operational bottlenecks.Lead R&D initiatives focused on new product development and improvement of existing products.Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in specialty carbon chemistry.Quality & Compliance:Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.Implement process controls and quality checks to maintain product consistency.Reporting & Documentation:Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and SOPs.Present findings and progress reports to senior management.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in technical service operations.Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance service offerings.Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives within the technical services function.Safety & Environment:Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to chemical handling and processes.Serve as the Element Champion for Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), leading studies, facilitating reviews, and ensuring proper hazard evaluation methods are applied for changes and new projects.Certified in PHA techniques with expertise in hazard assessment, mechanical integrity, and quality assurance to effectively guide risk mitigation efforts.Interested candidates can send their resume to shraddha.mahadik@.
