Job Title: Team Lead / Tech Lead – Java, QA & L3 Production SupportLocation: RemoteJob Type: Full-TimeExperience Level: 7–10 yearsJob Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead / Tech Lead who will play a dual role of hands-on technical contributor and team leader. This individual must have strong experience in Java development, Quality Assurance engineering, and L3 production support. The ideal candidate will take ownership of production maintenance, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement while also mentoring a small team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Hands-On Java Development:Develop and maintain backend services and components using Java.Debug and enhance existing codebase to improve system performance and reliability.Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering:Design and implement automated test cases (API, functional, regression).Perform manual testing for critical components when needed.Integrate testing practices into CI/CD pipelines.L3 Production Support:Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated production issues (L3 support).Conduct root cause analysis and provide permanent resolutions for incidents.Monitor system logs, health checks, and application performance.Team Leadership:Lead a small cross-functional team of developers and QA engineers.Assign tasks, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to development standards.Guide team members in troubleshooting, testing, and improving code quality.Stakeholder Communication:Collaborate with product owners, DevOps, and support teams to ensure timely issue resolution.Provide regular updates on production health and incident trends.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.7+ years of overall experience in software development, QA, and production support.Proven experience with:Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs)Automated testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, etc.)Monitoring and log tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.
