The engineer will be a part of a team that is responsible to maintain and monitor customer headend/infrastructure/product to meet business objectives and SLA’s.Core Responsibilities:Leading the analysis and resolution of technical issues arising with Mediakind Media Processing product portfolio.Responsible for Day-to-day operations for customer.Troubleshooting system integration, compatibility, product level and customer ecosystem faults.Writing MOPs, Planning and implementing upgrade and expansion procedures.Monitoring the deployed system as necessaryAnswering questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of the Mediakind TV & Media products.Developing customer facing documentation as needed.Communicating customer requirements to our product and engineering staff.Being part of an on-call 24/7 rotation, to deal with customer emergency issues at any time.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 4-5 years of experience with Linux OS (Command line) - Mandatory.Expertise in Cloud based media services on AWS, Azure of GoogleNetworking – Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 routing, switches, Wireshark/ tcpdump) and any network diagnostics skills (hands on) - Mandatory.Deep technical knowledge on one or more of the following disciplines: Video compression/Optimization (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, HEVC), digital video broadcast, video servers, Streaming Technologies, DPI, IP networking.At least 2 years of experience with OTT delivery protocols (ABR, HSS, HLS, DASH) and MPEG2-TS, CDNs - MandatoryWorking Knowledge and technical understanding of professional receivers, SDI/ASI routing matrix, encoding/streaming, multiplexing from broadcast technologies. - MandatoryMediakind product knowledge including Receivers, Mux, AVP, Envivio encoders live / on demand, Halo etc - MandatoryHands-On experience on troubleshooting and resolving issues within in the headend downlink system. - Mandatory3-5 years of experience in supporting large scale deployments, preferably software solutions - MandatoryExperienced in production critical systems’ 24/7 environment support – MandatoryKnowledge of IPTV/OTT middleware, and client operationKnowledge of MPEG2 and MPEG4 compressed video / audio analysisStrong demonstrable analytical skills and able to collate and analyze data from various sources.Storage experience is an advantageScripting experience capabilities (Shell, Python, Perl, etc...) is an advantageSQL Database experience (SQL) - preferably operational support experience is an advantageKnowledge in data centers / Cloud environment is an advantageKnowledge in MicroservicesA recognized University Degree, or equivalent experience, in Broadcast / Software / Systems / Communications / Electronics EngineeringSkills Needed:Excellent communication skillsAbility to effectively handle multiple customer demands and prioritiesStrong teamwork skillsStrong understanding of changing pace and culture of operator environmentExcellent command of English communication, written and verbalGood diagnostics and problem-solving skillsSelf-learning
