Job Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: Hotel Ramta ContinentalDepartment: Sales & MarketingReports To: General Manager / Director of SalesJob Overview:Hotel Ramta Continental is looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth by targeting new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and increasing bookings across all hotel services. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in hospitality sales, customer engagement, and deeply familiar with hotel room plans and pricing structures.Key Responsibilities:- Business Development & Lead Generation - Identify and pursue corporate, MICE, leisure, and group business opportunities. - Build strategic relationships with travel agents, online platforms, event planners, and local businesses. - Sales & Promotions - Develop and present attractive room and event packages tailored to various customer segments. - Promote hotel facilities such as banquet halls, restaurants, and conference rooms to drive cross-selling. - Client Relationship Management - Maintain relationships with key accounts to encourage repeat bookings. - Address inquiries and customize solutions based on client requirements. - Market Research & Analysis - Monitor competitor offerings, rates, and promotions. - Advise management on pricing strategies based on demand, seasonality, and market trends. - Coordination & Execution - Work closely with front office, reservations, and banquet teams to ensure smooth service delivery. - Report sales performance, lead conversion ratios, and client feedback.Hotel-Specific Requirements for BDM:To perform successfully in this role at Hotel Ramta Continental, the BDM must:- Be fully knowledgeable of the hotel’s room plans, including: - EP (European Plan): Room only - CP (Continental Plan): Room with breakfast - MAP (Modified American Plan): Room with breakfast and one major meal (lunch or dinner) - AP (American Plan): Room with all three meals included - Understand and explain room categories, such as: - Deluxe, Executive, Suite, Family Rooms, etc. - Features and amenities specific to each room type (e.g., view, bed size, workspace, bath types) - Create and promote custom packages based on room plan preferences and client budgets. - Stay informed about rate parity and dynamic pricing on OTAs and direct booking channels. - Advise clients on the most suitable room plan for their purpose—business stays, family vacations, weddings, etc.Qualifications & Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, or Marketing (MBA preferred). - Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in hotel sales or business development. - Solid understanding of hospitality room plans, banquet operations, and event management. - Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills. - Proficient in PMS, CRM, and OTA platforms.
