Job Description

As part of the Mergers & Acquisition team, we are seeking for passionate professionals to join our team. The work involves high end advisory and often juggling business and technical conversations.- Advisory capabilities with respect to direct tax matters including key provisions of Income Tax Act 1961. - Ability to understand the risk mitigation process, including assessment of client enquiries, market reach and negotiating insurance policy with insurers on behalf of the client, for policies covering risks in India. - Assist in developing new products and origination and business development initiatives in India. - Assisting in maintaining relationships with insurers and PE/VC and corporate clients. - Assist the W&I team in various matters such as identifying tax risk opportunities in W&I projects (cross-selling) and negotiating tax aspects of W&I policies. - Reviewing tax provisions in M&A agreements.Skills & Experience- 3 - 5 years post-qualification experience in a tax role at a law firm, advisory/accounting firm or at a multinational/fund. - Qualified Chartered Accountant and LLB (an add on) - Excellent academic qualifications; - Excellent commercial, technical and analytical abilities, sound judgment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a high level of personal commitment. - Self-motivated, innovative and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively. - Dedication, attention to detail and time management are essential skills for this role.
