If you are as passionate as we are in making a difference andcreating real impact in a fast-paced and wildly creative environment, then you might just be theperson we are looking for.Position Details – Area Sales Manager, General Trade Business (Location Mumbai) :As an ASM, you will be responsible for driving primary and secondary sales in the assigned territory, managing anetwork of distributors and retailers, leading a team of Area Sales Executives, and executing sales strategiesaligned with company goals. The ASM will ensure consistent growth in store count and PSPM across thedesignated geography. Building a strong team and distribution network will be critical for this role’s success.Key Responsibilities :1)Team Management● Hire, lead and manage a team of Area Sales Executives (ASEs)● Set clear performance goals and ensure capability building through training and on-ground coaching.● Review daily activities, beat plans, and performance metrics of the sales team.2) Retail Management :● Ensure weighted distribution across retail touchpoints; critical success factor is to choose the rightretail outlet and not go after numeric distribution● Increase product visibility and shelf presence through effective merchandising● Conduct regular market visits to track product performance, competitor activity, and trade feedback.3) Distribution Management:● Appoint, manage, and develop distributors to ensure effective coverage.● Monitor distributor ROI, inventory, claims, and financial hygiene.● Ensure effective order management, timely dispatches, and invoicing.4) Sales & Revenue Generation :● Ensure team hits the retail store placement targets● Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (secondary) for the assigned area.● Plan and execute sales strategies to increase PSPM5) Compliance & Reporting :● Ensure adherence to company policies, commercial processes, and trade schemes.● Submit timely MIS reports, sales forecasts, market insights, and competitor analysis.● Maintain documentation and records for audits and internal reviews.What we look for:● Candidate will be required to lead & operate independently in a dynamic start-up environment.● Candidate must possess strong business acumen, comfortable with numbers and be adept atproblem-solving and managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently.Preferred Qualifications:● Professional: Min. 6-8 years work experience in FMCG General Trade● Educational: MBA
