From CRGO/CRNO slit coils to complete core-coil assemblies, we deliver PQRS-driven products (Precision, Quality, Reliability & Sustainability) from our plants in Jaipur & Reengus.Role Purpose Own end-to-end strategic sourcing of all raw materials and bought-out items for distribution & power transformers (up to 765 kV class). You will optimise landed cost, guarantee 100 % on-time availability, and deepen relationships with domestic and international suppliers—while coaching one to two junior buyers/expeditors.Key ResponsibilitiesWork-stream & Typical Deliverables & KPIs*Strategic Sourcing & Cost Leadership-Annual material spend ≈ ₹ X Cr; deliver ≥ 3 % YoY cost savings through negotiation, should-cost modelling, and long-term rate contracts. Vendor Development & Relationship Management-Maintain an approved panel for CRGO/CRNO, copper wire, insulation papers, transformer oil, radiators, bushings, tap changers, gaskets & hardware; issue quarterly supplier scorecards (OTD, quality PPM, cost). Forecasting & Inventory Optimisation-Collaborate with Sales & Production Planning to convert rolling 12-week demand into MRP; keep RM & WIP inventory ≤ 45 days while avoiding line stoppages. Compliance & Risk Mitigation -Ensure REACH/RoHS, BIS, and ISO audits are passed; develop dual-source strategies for critical categories. Digital Procurement Excellence-Drive best practices inSAP (S/4HANA)—RFQ, PO, GRN, and spend analytics; champion e-RFX portals; publish monthly dashboards for management. Team Leadership & Collaboration-Mentor 1–2 buyers; shorten RFQ-to-PO cycle to*KPIs are indicative. We’ll finalise targets within your first 30 days.Must-Have QualificationsExperience:5 – 10 yearsprocurement/purchase within transformer manufacturing(power, distribution, special-duty). Commodity Expertise:Hands-on sourcing of CRGO/CRNO steel, copper, insulation, transformer oil, radiators, bushings, tap changers & hardware. Supplier Network:Existing relationships with Tier-1 mills (e.g., POSCO, Nippon, thyssenkrupp), Indian service centres, and key accessory OEMs. Commercial Acumen:Proven stewardship of ₹ 50 Cr+ annual spend; e-bidding, frame contracts, hedging strategies. Systems:Deep proficiency inSAP(MM, Ariba or equivalent), advanced Excel (pivot/V-lookup), and basic Power BI/Tableau for spend analytics. Education:B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical/Metallurgy)plusMBA/Supply-Chain diploma preferred. Mobility:Domestic vendor visits (~ 20 % travel);no routine international travel required .Preferred ExtrasExposure to GST & Customs clearance, LC negotiation, and Incoterms. Lean/Six-Sigma Green Belt or APICS CPIM/CSCP credentials. Experience establishing consignment/VMI models with suppliers. Knowledge of sustainable sourcing (recycled electrical steel, biodegradable oils).Soft-Skill DNANegotiator & Relationship-Builder:Equally comfortable in board-room negotiations and plant-floor problem-solving. Data-Driven Operator:Converts numbers into action; tracks PPV, MOQ impact, cash-to-cash cycle.
