Efficient in handling different battery chemistriesNature & Area of Impact: Supports in providing insights and support to Battery Pack development and process/product engineering teams. Coordinate with lab teams and external agencies for regulatory compliance testing (AIS-038, AIS-048, UN38.3, IEC 62619, etc.).PERSON PROFILELead the design and development of high-voltage battery packs for CV and ESS applications.Define and manage system requirements, technical specifications, and design validation plans.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical, BMS, Controls, Manufacturing, Quality) to ensure timely and robust product delivery.Passionate to involve in cross-collaboration projects supporting pack simulations studies with pack design or system teamCo-ordination with vendors, suppliersParticipation in material and component selection and component level validation planning and report analysisShall support both simulation and system teamSpecify and validate thermal interface materials (TIMs), insulation, and cooling channels.Collaborate with thermal engineering teams to prototype and test cooling systems (e.g., cold plates, fans, chillers).Ensure thermal performance meets life, performance, and safety goals for both charging and discharging scenarios.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential (Minimum 10 years of battery pack development experience)Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or related engineering field.10+ years of hands-on experience in battery pack design, with a strong focus on mechanical and thermal systems.Proficiency in CAD (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and exposure to thermal/structural simulation tools (Ansys, Simcenter, FloEFD).Deep understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies and packaging strategies.Role Specific Qualifications/CertificationsB.Tech Mechanical/Electrical EngineerExposure to battery enclosures designed to meet automotive-grade safety and environmental standards.Familiarity with BMS, EMI/EMC considerations, and HV component layout.Experience with global development teams and suppliers in the EV or ESS domain
