Hiring for a prominent Indian tea brand with a rich legacy spanning over five decade. ROLE: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER / HEAD - SOUTH INDIA LOCATION: BANGALORE/ HYDERABAD/ ANDHRA PRADESH/ TAMIL NADUAbout the Role: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving and delivering the sales objectives of the assigned region. This includes leading the sales team, executing strategic plans, launching new products, and achieving revenue and profitability targets. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with proven experience in FMCG sales, particularly in the tea category.Profile Specific: Minimum 10+ years of sales experience in the FMCG (Food) industry; Tea industry experience highly preferred.Proven track record in handling a business portfolio of ₹20–25 Crores annually.Demonstrated experience in launching new products and managing multichannel distribution (GT/MT/E-comm).Language preference : Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, English, HindiKey Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Execution: • Lead and manage the regional sales team to achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Introduce and execute new product launches effectively across channels. • Ensure the team is aligned with organizational objectives and KPIs. • Monitor competitor activity and proactively address market challenges. Strategic & Operational Planning: • Own the Strategic and Annual Business Plan for the region. • Conduct quarterly SWOT analysis of regional sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly. • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for existing and new products. • Identify and pursue growth opportunities to expand market share. Channel Management:• Manage and optimize sales across multiple channels: General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and E-commerce. • Deliver an optimized channel mix based on target consumer demographics and market potential.Budgeting & Cost Control: • Develop, manage, and monitor sales and marketing operating budgets. • Control and analyze expenditure to ensure alignment with financial goals. Team Development & Performance Management: • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performance sales team. • Set performance metrics and provide regular, constructive feedback. • Ensure retention, motivation, and career development of team members. Customer Relationship & Brand Building: • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry bodies. • Champion brand-building initiatives in the region. • Ensure timely collections and customer satisfaction.
