Project Overview: Palladium India is implementing projects with Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray Agribusiness & Rural Transformation Project, SMART where Palladium as Technical Support Agency (TSA) is providing handholding support for PIU- Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF) with an objective ‘to support the development of inclusive and competitive agriculture value chains, focusing on smallholder farmers and Agri-entrepreneurs in Maharashtra. Job Summary: Market Linkage Expert will oversee the successful implementation of the project. This role includes promoting agribusiness, supporting enterprise growth and expanding market access, supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the efficient execution of project. Market Linkage Expert will work closely with stakeholders, farmers, and other project team members to ensure that objectives are met on time and within budget. This role is a client facing role as well as backend support role and the selected candidate shall be expected to work closely with the client, internal Palladium teams as well as experts onboarded from time to time. The candidate shall be allotted work related to this project or any other project activity in Palladium. The candidate is expected to assist Palladium in driving the project ensuring preparation of quality deliverables as well as assist in day-to-day operations including Key Roles & Responsibilities: Supporting Enterprise Growth and Expanding Market Access Integrate producers in priority value chains, to operate competitively with strengthened and reliable linkages with buyers and markets Enhance the provision of relevant technical and business development services to support enterprise growth in the agribusiness sector through PPs, MAPs and CIIs Conduct buyer outreach activities for all sub-projects (1000 CBOs) sanctioned under SMART. Extend handhold support to 45 CBOs in the rolling out and implementation of the PP sub-project activities. Handhold and roll out 45 CBOs proposals for Complementary Innovative Investments (CII) sub-projects. Preparation and updating exhaustive database of potential buyers, domestic markets (preferably outside the State of Maharashtra) International markets and digital market players who are willing to buy the agri commodities of SMART CBOs Preparation and updating outreach plan with details of date, venue, invitees, speakers, cost estimates, etc. for conducting (i)National level buyer/investor meet – 07, (ii) State Level Buyer, Investor Meet, Stakeholder Workshops - 14, (iii) Plan & Support participation in international level exhibitions – 04, (iv) Plan & Support participation in National level exhibitions – 05 Facilitate in contract of minimum 100 CBOs with organised, reputed big buyers should be operationalized. Undertake market linkage activities for FPCs by (a) gaps against target market standards, (b) assistance to improve food quality and safety, (c) review of infrastructure created and its usage, (d) increase in the volume of sales, overall management and profits of CBOs Facilitate, coordinate and monitor the functioning of the TSA by synchronizing the interface between TSA and the CBOs to obtain important results and also continue the handholding support to the CBOs after the project period Support the TSA at the district/block/cluster level for the implementation of activities. Conduct overall monitoring of assignments for ensuring adherence to timeline and quality parameters Support Project in monitoring of project deliverables, outcomes, and milestones. Conduct periodic review of schemes, budgetary outlays, expenditure patterns etc. for all programs/ schemes in Agriculture & allied sector Facilitate communication, coordination, and information sharing to enable effective project implementation Attend regular meetings with project staff to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving. Assist in maintaining records and other documentation required for audit and progress reporting purposes. Assist in negotiating with bidders, as and when required, and preparing contract documents, for approval by the concerned authorities.
