This individual will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and influencing policies relevant to the lithium-ion cell and battery manufacturing industry. The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations. Through strategic advocacy and policy engagement, the individual will work to protect and promote the company's interests. Key Responsibilities:Policy Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor and analyze policies, regulations, and notifications from various government departments and ministries affecting the battery, energy, and automotive sectors. - Provide internal briefings and recommendations on the implications of policy changes or new regulations.Government & Stakeholder Engagement: - Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in central and state government bodies, regulatory authorities, and public institutions. - Coordinate with industry chambers, associations, and think tanks to align on key policy issues and represent company interests.Advocacy & Representation:- Represent the company in industry forums, consultations, and public policy discussions. - Prepare advocacy materials, policy briefs, and position papers to support company agenda. - Drive initiatives to safeguard and promote business interests through strategic advocacy.Internal Collaboration:- Work closely with legal, regulatory, marketing, and strategy teams to align external policy landscape with business strategy. - Provide policy insights for new market entry, product strategy, or investment decisions.Desired Profile: - Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Engineering, or related fields. - Experience: 12–15 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory advocacy, preferably in energy, automotive, or engineering sectors. - Strong network within relevant government bodies and industry organizations. - Proven experience in managing policy dialogue and influencing regulatory decisions.Key Skills & Competencies:- In-depth understanding of policy-making and regulatory frameworks in India. - Excellent written and verbal communication.- Relationship-building and stakeholder management.- Strategic thinking and advocacy skills and Strong analytical and research capabilities.
