AWS Platform Architect Role Overview:Location- Bengaluru/HyderabadNotice period- Immediate onlyWe are seeking a highly experienced and motivated AWS Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for defining and executing our AWS strategy, ensuring a secure, scalable, cost-effective, and highly available platform to support our growing customer needs. You will collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to deliver innovative and robust cloud solutions.Responsibilities:Cloud Strategy and Architecture:o Define and drive the overall AWS platform strategy, aligning with business objectives and technical requirements.o Design and architect secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions leveraging AWS best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.o Develop and maintain reference architectures, standards, and guidelines for AWS service consumption.o Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and technologies to enhance our platform capabilities.o Plan and execute cloud migration strategies for existing on-premises workloads.Platform Implementation and Management:o Lead the implementation and configuration of core AWS infrastructure components, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM, DNS, load balancers, and storage solutions.o Implement site to site VPPN, design IP space, traffic routing, firewalls and traffic protectiono Establish and maintain a multi-account AWS environment using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.o Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.o Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.o Develop and implement strategies for cost optimization and resource utilization in AWS.o Design and implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for the AWS platform.o Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for critical AWS services and applications.Security and Compliance:o Define and enforce security policies and best practices for the AWS environment, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.o Implement and manage AWS security services such as Guardrails, Security Hub, IAM Access Analyzer, and AWS WAF.o Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001).o Conduct regular security assessments and identify and remediate vulnerabilities in the AWS infrastructure.Collaboration and Leadership:o Collaborate effectively with development teams to provide guidance on cloud-native architectures and best practices.o Work closely with security and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud solutions.o Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members on AWS technologies and architecture.o Participate in architecture reviews and provide constructive feedback.o Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:o Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.o Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the cloud environment.o Contribute to the development of cloud governance policies and procedures.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.• 14+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a significant focus on cloud architecture and engineering on AWS. Should have worked on minimum 4 implementations on AWS cloud infratructure development working for large customers• Deep understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.) and advanced services (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB).• Proven experience designing and implementing multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.• Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.• Solid understanding of networking principles and AWS networking services (VPC, subnets, security groups, NACLs, Route 53, Transit Gateway).• Extensive experience implementing security best practices and utilizing AWS security services.• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk).• Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty).• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).• Familiarity with other cloud platforms• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java)• Knowledge of cloud security compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).• Knowledge on other cloud platforms like Azure, GCP is nice to have skills
