About the jobDEPARTMENT: Water & Wastewater ManagementJOB TITLE: Deputy Maintenance Manager - Water & WastewaterBIAL provides high standard reliability of its infrastructure, equipment, and systems; Water & Wastewater is an important system in making Bangalore International Airport a highly reliable world-class airport. The Deputy Maintenance Manager assists his superior in ensuring readiness and availability of the Water & Wastewater system with respect to terminal building & non-terminal building areas on a 365/7/24 basis. The main challenge will be to instill high safety awareness, pro-active and customer-focused maintenance attitude, and shortest-possible response-times.ResponsibilitiesMajor ActivitiesMaintenanceCritical systems like Potable, Raw water & Sewer system to be maintained.Maintenance of system like RO, UV, Filters (Disc, screen, DMF and Bag filters), chlorine dosing system and Ozonation systemProcess knowledge of pumping & its related systemsUpdating of maintenance activities on Maximo.Leading the shift maintenance team to attend maintenance like preventive/ corrective/ breakdown with ease.Knowledge of different types of Pipes used in water system, Pipeline laying & jointing, arresting of leaks from pipes.QualityImplement quality measuring, monitoring mechanisms (based on IOT or latest technology), enhance quality of service in water supply and treated water supply systemsDevelop quality indicators & Dashboard, compare with similar industry and initiate improvement projectsMonitor all the critical assets which are connected to quality outputs like filtration, UV & Ozonation system to enhance the quality of water supplyPlanning & schedulingPreventive maintenance activity to be planned based on system requirement & SAP schedule.Scheduling of maintenance activity should be planned based on time/concern technical personnel availability/spares/tools tackles/equipment.Proper planning to be kept in place to procure required materials/tools and tackles to maintain the breakdown activities in case of any maintenance.Effective schedule is required to complete the project on time as assigned & site order book to be maintained.Capex & OpexRequired data like proposals, Budgetary quote, Timeline & RFQ/RFP to be prepared in line with our requirement with clear cut technical details.Capex work follow up needs to be done on timeline basis & report to be sent to MM on regular interval with respect to project development. All the works to be completed on time as per agreed timeline in RFQ/POOPEX requirement need to be planned & procured.DocumentationWater test reports to be documented based on IATA rules & regulations.Ensuring all the drawings & documents related to water supply & sewer network are available at working locations for quick reference.Ensuring the instruments & equipment has valid calibration.Supporting inventory management & maintaining of IMS documentsSafety has to be integral part during any maintenance activity. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations of the mechanical system, according to BIAL's safety concept: To maintain zero percent accident/incident. RequirementsBE in Mechanical/Chemical or Diploma in Mechanical/ChemicalMinimum Experience: 8 years of total experience for BE & 10 years for Diploma holders with a deep understanding of Water & wastewater systems activitiesBasic MS office includes Excel, Power Points, Word, and WindowsHands on experience on SAP PM Module, IBM MaximoAuto CADKnowledge on water supply system, especially on Water supply system/ETP/STP/WTPDeft in various types of pumps and its maintenanceKnowledge on filtration systems, Disinfection system and various water treatment systemCommitment towards high quality, sense for improvement and optimizationExcellent communication skills both verbal & writtenKnowledge on VFD systemsValid Four-wheeler driving license required
