Title: Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer – Audio DSP AlgorithmFunction: Hardware EngineerReports to: Director of Hardware EngineeringLocation: Bengaluru, India Summary Description: Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, has entered into an agreement to acquire a large, multi-national sensor business with global revenues in excess of $250 million per year, and is looking for an experienced and talented Sr. Staff Digital Design Engineer. As Digital IC Design Engineer, you will be a key player in the ASIC R&D team. You are presented with a unique opportunity to be part of the complete digital ASIC design flow, from specification and modelling, implementation and verification, to synthesis and silicon bring-up. Further, you will play an important role in supporting complex failure analyses to ensure smooth ramp-ups and high-volume production. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: · Design, Implement & Verify DSP algorithms, interface and protocols for audio processing on ASIC· Implementation and verification of digital control logic to support MEMS microphones· Design validation and performance testing· Specification and documentation of blocks and systems Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required: · Advanced degree in electronics engineering· A proven track record of 10+ years in developing digital blocks/systems for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits in consumer or industrial R&D· Fundamental understanding of Digital Signal Processing concepts (Z-Transform, Frequency response, SNR, THD, etc.)· Architect & Implement Digital Signal Processing algorithms (Filters, Decimators, MATLAB Simulink, etc.)· RTL implementation of Digital Signal Processing algorithms, using Verilog or System Verilog· Implementation of RTL test benches and digital verification methods· Deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal blocks (op-amps, LDOs, ADCs, DACs, etc.)· Programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, or Perl)· Task centered, self-driven, persistent, and team oriented· Experience with Audio signal processing (Beam forming, Echo Cancellers, Adaptive Filters, etc.) is a plus· Experience with Algorithms for energy management, speech and audio processing, including noise cancellation, acoustic echo cancellation, signal enhancement, and microphone and speaker arrays is a plus About Syntiant: Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Syntiant Corp. is a leader in delivering hardware and software solutions for edge AI deployment.
