Their primary focus is the rescue, treatment and re-homing of stray and lost small animals in India. Across the nation, too many dogs are lost and need good quality veterinary care to keep enjoying life. The newly created role will have ultimate oversight of the quality of animal care; implementation of new policies and procedures; development of both management & clinical teams and the promotion of the charities presence.You will need to develop a strong understanding of relevant regulations in India (Animal Welfare Board and state animal health law) and bring a dynamic understanding of how to operate an animal rescue facility. You should have strong surgical skills to help other veterinary surgeons working in practice and great leadership talent to help motivate and grow the organisation. The most important thing is the development of veterinary care and protection of animals. The new post holder will report directly into the Founder & President with autonomy to manage their presence abroad.Requirements:Candidates must have an active MRCVS / DVM equivalent degree with good surgical skills.Experience within charity / non-profit settingsCultural adaptability and excellent communication skillsWillingness to relocate to IndiaRemuneration:This role is critical for the growth and development of the charity so does offer very competitive remuneration. Salary on offer is £150,000 (circa $200,000 / 17 million Indian Rupees) which will allow an exceptional standard of living and quality of life abroad.
