Job Title:DataStage Tech Lead Location:Trivandrum/Kochi/Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore/Pune/GurgaonAbout the Role: We are looking for an experiencedDataStage Tech Leadto spearhead ETL development and maintenance efforts in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role requires deep technical expertise inIBM InfoSphere DataStage , along with the ability to lead a development team, enforce best practices, and drive high-quality deliverables aligned with both functional and non-functional requirements.Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Delivery: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL jobs usingIBM DataStage . Guide and mentor the team in resolving complex technical challenges and performance issues. Uphold best practices in ETL development, configuration, and deployment. Conduct peer reviews and enforce high standards of code quality and performance.Architecture & Design: Design low-level technical architecture (LLD), data models, and business components. Review and sign off on design documentation, test plans, and solution artifacts. Drive process improvements and implement automation for repetitive ETL tasks.Testing & Quality Assurance: Create, review, and execute unit test scenarios ensuring 100% coverage. Monitor defect rates, code quality, and adherence to defined engineering standards. Manage and resolve technical issues across the full SDLC.Project & Stakeholder Management: Support module-level development planning and estimation activities. Interface directly with customers to understand requirements and influence solution direction. Lead technical assessments and participate in hiring processes for Developer roles.Knowledge Management & Innovation: Contribute to and consume internal knowledge repositories, technical libraries, and wikis. Create knowledge-sharing assets, mentor junior developers, and support their career progression. Promote innovative thinking within the team, introducing automation and efficiency improvements.Skills and Experience Required: 8+ years of experienceinDataStage ETL developmentwith a strong grasp of end-to-end ETL lifecycle. Deep knowledge ofETL frameworks, troubleshooting, data integration, and performance optimization . Strong experience withrelational databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)and familiarity withNoSQL databasesis a plus. Ability to lead technical teams, estimate efforts, and ensure project delivery milestones are met. Proficient withAgile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) , project planning tools, and SDLC processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage customer expectations and conduct technical presentations.Preferred Certifications: IBM Certified Solution Developer – InfoSphere DataStage(or equivalent)
