As Head of the Electrical Department ( Section in-charge), the focus is on ensuring uninterrupted electrical operations, enhancing automation reliability, and leading the maintenance and development of high-power systems across steel plant operations. This role is vital in driving performance, safety, and technological advancement in energy-intensive environments.Key Responsibilities Include:• Furnace Electrical Systems: Manage operations of Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF), and VD systems, including Electrode regulation ( Daneili & Ferrotron ), oxygen & carbon lancing, and Aluminium wire feeding systems, Material Handling System, Fume extraction system, FAFA system, Granshot, Up gradation project.• Power & Automation Equipment: Oversee high-voltage systems including furnace transformers (200 MVA+) and 40 MVA, VVF drives, PLCs, and instrumentation controls.• Automation & Control: Lead PLC logic and HMI modifications, and maintain Level 1 & Level 2 automation systems with Profibus & Profinet network troubleshooting, Level 2 reporting system, Server maintenance.• Material Handling & Auxiliary Systems: Supervise Granshot, ladle transfer cars, and Fume Extraction Systems (FES) to ensure safe and smooth operations.• Electrical System Reliability: Ensure timely preventive maintenance like Water cooled cables, 200 MVA & 40 MVA Power Trafo.
