Job Description

The Strategic Business Development Manager will lead the formulation and execution of business strategies focused on EV chargers (AC & DC), specifically for the Auto OEM and Charge Point Operator (CPO) segments. The role involves working closely with engineering teams for new product development (240 kW to 400 kW DC chargers and dispensers), identifying growth opportunities, driving export strategy, and nurturing key customer relationships to achieve sales and order booking targets.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & FacilitationFormulate and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals for the EV charging business.Anchor cross-functional strategic planning meetings with internal stakeholders and key external partners, especially Auto OEMs and CPOs.Identify and evaluate new opportunity areas in the EV segment; define roadmaps for new product introductions.Business Development & Key Account ManagementDrive end-to-end business development activities for EV charging solutions (AC & DC).Lead Key Account Management (KAM) initiatives for Auto OEMs and CPOs, ensuring long-term business engagement and revenue growth.Plan and execute promotional and marketing activities to increase visibility and adoption of EV charging products.Collaborate with regional branches to convert proposals into orders and support sales enablement.Sales & Revenue GenerationAchieve targeted Order Booking (OB) and sales revenues as per the annual business plan.Develop and implement a roadmap for expanding the export business for EV chargers.Explore new business models and partnerships to grow market share in domestic and international markets.New Product DevelopmentCollaborate with the engineering team on the development and rollout of new high-power DC chargers (240–400 kW) and dispenser units.Provide market insights and customer feedback to guide product features and roadmap decisions.Accountabilities:Unique AccountabilitiesBusiness development for EV chargers (AC/DC)Leading strategic planning exercises for the EV businessDriving initiatives for new product exploration and validationShared AccountabilitiesProduct development with Engineering teamsKAM for Auto OEMs with cross-functional teams (CFT)Nurturing new accounts and unlocking new revenue streams
