Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile AV Pre-Sales Engineer to support the full lifecycle of audio-visual (AV) projects—from client consultations and solution proposals to system design and technical documentation. This role blends technical pre-sales support with hands-on AV design responsibilities, ensuring seamless transitions from concept to execution. You’ll work closely with clients, sales teams, engineers, and project managers to deliver innovative, high-performance AV solutions tailored to client needs and aligned with industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Client Consultation & Requirement Gathering:Collaborate with the sales team to understand client objectives, gather requirements, and offer expert AV recommendations. Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and client meetings to assess project scope and technical challenges. Translate client needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.Solution Design & Technical Proposals:Design customized AV solutions incorporating audio, video, control systems, and integration technologies. Develop system layouts, schematics, and equipment specifications using tools like AutoCAD, Visio, or Revit. Prepare compelling proposals, bill of materials (BOM), and cost estimates aligned with client budgets and expectations. Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, technically sound, and aligned with industry standards.Product Demonstrations & Technical Sales Support:Deliver live demos, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept trials to clients. Clearly explain AV system features, integration capabilities, and performance expectations. Support the sales process by addressing technical queries, assisting with RFPs/RFQs, and contributing to sales strategy.System Integration & Installation Support:Provide technical support during installation and commissioning to ensure designs are implemented correctly. Troubleshoot and calibrate AV systems in collaboration with on-site teams. Resolve design or integration issues quickly and effectively to maintain project timelines.Documentation & Reporting:Produce accurate and detailed design documents, schematics, as-built drawings, and user manuals. Maintain organized records of client interactions, project changes, and design iterations. Ensure seamless handovers to implementation teams through comprehensive documentation.Quality Control, Compliance & Standards:Validate that designs meet client requirements, safety regulations, and AV industry standards (e.g., AVIXA). Conduct design reviews and participate in quality assurance processes. Coordinate with IT, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure integration compatibility.Post-Sales & Ongoing Support:Provide technical support post-installation, addressing client concerns or system optimization needs. Suggest upgrades, modifications, or enhancements based on client feedback or evolving needs.Market Awareness & Innovation:Stay current with emerging AV technologies, integration methods, and design trends. Recommend new tools or products to improve project outcomes and customer satisfaction. Participate in training, certification programs, and industry events to maintain technical proficiency.Marketing & Thought Leadership:Contribute to whitepapers, brochures, case studies, and technical marketing content. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events as a technical subject matter expert.Skills & Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, Systems Integration, or a related field.Experience:3–5 years in AV pre-sales, system design, integration, or related technical fields.Technical Tools:Proficiency in AV design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, Revit, and D-tools.Systems Knowledge:Deep understanding of AV control platforms (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, AMX, Extron), conferencing technologies, signal routing, and display/audio systems.Soft Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Exceptional presentation and proposal-writing skills. Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.Certifications (Preferred):AVIXA CTS or other relevant industry certifications.Working Conditions:Based in Pune, with occasional travel for site visits, client meetings, and system commissioning. Flexibility to work outside standard hours based on project or client needs. Split between office work, client engagement, and on-site support.
