Position: Research AssociateDivision: Media, Broadcasting & EntertainmentLocation: FICCI Headquarters, New DelhiWe are looking for a high-performing and purpose-driven Research Associate to support the operations, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement initiatives of the Media, Broadcasting & Entertainment Division. The candidate will be a key contributor to content development, industry coordination, event execution, and public policy initiatives across Broadcasting, Film, OTT, AVGC-XR, and related segments.Educational Qualification:Master’s in Public Policy, Media Studies, Law, Journalism, Economics, Communication, or related fields from a reputed institution.Experience:3–5 years in policy advocacy, public affairs, media and entertainment industry, or consulting. Experience with chambers of commerce, think tanks, or regulatory bodies is an added advantage.Key Responsibilities:Track and analyze government notifications, draft bills, policy reforms and global best practices related to:Broadcasting Services (Regulation) Bill, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, IT Rules, IPR, TRAI Regulations, and convergence frameworks.AVGC-XR, OTT policy, content regulations, taxation, BIS standards, and state media policies.Prepare policy briefs, concept notes, industry representations, and inputs to consultations led by MIB, MeitY, DPIIT, I&B Secretary, TRAI, and others.Liaise with legal experts and stakeholders to build informed advocacy strategies.Interface with industry members, production houses, studios, OTT platforms, broadcasters, digital platforms, AVGC bodies, talent unions, IP stakeholders, and academic partners.Maintain member databases and coordinate regular communication, feedback collation, and relationship building.Support various industry working groups including Film, OTT, Broadcasting, AVGC, and M&E Skills.Support flagship events like FICCI FRAMES, FICCI MEBC, and FICCI LEAP through speaker coordination, content development, marketing support, sponsor engagement, and on-ground logistics.Assist in roundtables, policy dialogues, and closed-door ministerial briefings with top industry and government stakeholders.Draft high-quality session notes, press releases, and post-event reports.Draft high-impact emails, speeches, letters, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.Assist in curating FICCI’s industry publications, policy compendiums, regulatory trackers, and social media messaging.Help prepare briefing material for ministers, international delegations, and industry leaders.Coordinate with finance and admin teams for invoicing, vendor payments, and billing.Support sponsorship outreach and business development efforts for events and publications.Skills & Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication in English.Strong understanding of India’s creative economy and regulatory ecosystem.Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to manage deadlines, multitask across workstreams, and work independently or in team settings.Passionate about the future of media, creative industries, and technology-led disruption.
