The candidate should hold an MBA in Operations and possess strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth procurement of critical materials, driving cost efficiency, and maintaining supplier performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and procure raw materials, components, consumables, and tooling for manufacturing operationsIdentify, evaluate, and on-board suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performanceRaise and monitor purchase orders based on production schedules and inventory levelsNegotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliersTrack market trends and implement cost-saving initiativesCoordinate with production, stores, quality, and finance teams to ensure end-to-end procurement alignmentMaintain documentation for audits, vendor evaluations, and management reportingAssist in new product development (NPD) sourcing activitiesRequired Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:MBA in Operations Management (Mandatory)Experience:3–4 years of hands-on procurement experience in an automotive ancillary or Tier 1 supplier environmentSkills:Strong vendor negotiation and relationship managementBasic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Others)Familiarity with automotive standards and documentationProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting toolsKey CompetenciesAnalytical thinking and cost awarenessEffective communication and coordinationStrong organizational and time management skillsTeam-oriented mind set with process-driven execution
