Job Title: Technical Writer with Data Center and Openstack Background - 100% REMOTE - Full Time Permanent RoleLocation: 100% REMOTE - Offshore IndiaEmployment Type: Full Time Contract Length: FTE - Long TermAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer with a strong background in Data Center operations and OpenStack technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience producing high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of enterprise infrastructure and cloud operations teams. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with global teams across engineering, DevOps, and cloud architecture.Key Responsibilities:Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for OpenStack environments and data center systems, including installation guides, user manuals, API references, and SOPs.Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), system architects, and operations teams to gather information and translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand documents.Maintain and update existing documentation in line with infrastructure changes, upgrades, or enhancements.Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), security policies, network diagrams, and infrastructure workflows.Ensure documentation is aligned with compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, etc.).Work closely with QA and release management to document version-specific changes and updates.Organize documentation for accessibility across internal teams using platforms like Confluence, GitHub, or SharePoint.Participate in sprint planning meetings, design reviews, and other Agile ceremonies to remain current with product/architecture updates.Qualifications:3–5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in an enterprise IT or cloud infrastructure environment.Strong knowledge of OpenStack, virtualization (e.g., VMware), and data center operations.Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or private cloud) and DevOps tools is a plus.Experience writing for system administrators, cloud engineers, or network teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with documentation tools such as Markdown, AsciiDoc, Confluence, Git, and version control workflows.Ability to interpret and document complex infrastructure diagrams and API interactions.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, English, Technical Communication, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Preferred Skills:Working knowledge of Linux systems and shell commands.Experience with OpenStack components such as Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, and Heat.Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.Prior experience in regulated environments with security and compliance awareness.Benefits:100% Remote (work from anywhere within [region])Competitive salary and performance bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match (if US-based)Generous PTO and paid holidaysLearning and development allowanceHow to Apply:Please submit your updated resume, a portfolio or writing samples (if available), and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.Thanks & Best RegardsPiyush SharmaRecruitmenteMail: Psharma@ | 7014 East Camelback Road, Suite 1452Scottsdale, Arizona 85251
