The ideal candidate would have already been responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing PTL logistics partners and would possess a strong understanding of freight pricing benchmarks, vendor serviceability across regions, and SLA frameworks. This person is expected to have hands-on experience working with leading PTL players like Delhivery, Gati, DTDC, Safe Express, etc., and would have led commercial negotiations and performance reviews for such partners.Typical profiles could include an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager handling PTL procurement or distribution logistics at companies like Hindustan Unilever, Marico, ITC, or Nestle, or someone in the procurement team of a 3PL or freight aggregator such as DHL, DSV, Mahindra Logistics, or TVS Supply Chain. Alternatively, this person could be working in the logistics team of a D2C brand like Mamaearth, Boat, or Lenskart, overseeing PTL logistics for warehouse-to-customer or warehouse-to-store movement. Similarly, professionals managing store replenishment logistics for retail brands with large EBO networks, such as Bata or Relaxo, also make for ideal candidates.This role requires a strong commercial acumen, a deep network of PTL partners (both national and regional), and the ability to align supply-side capabilities with client requirements. Familiarity with route optimization, vehicle utilization, SLA-driven contracts, and cross-functional coordination with operations and finance is essential for success in this role.Role & responsibilitiesAs a Manager/Senior Manager PTL Business, you will be responsible for expanding and managing Prozos PTL freight network with a focus on distribution/milk-run logistics, ensuring seamless vendor onboarding, client serviceability, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize PTL logistics, delivery performance, and process adherence. This vertical operates within the broader Prozo Logistics Network (PLN), encompassing various freight types.Key Responsibilities:● Partner Identification & Procurement Strategy○ Identify regional and national PTL partners who offer LTL/linehaul/distribution services○ Build a procurement pipeline to ensure geo-wise partner availability for all serviceable pin codes and lanes○ Evaluate partners on service quality, network strength, compliance, and scalability● Partner Onboarding & Contracting○ Drive the entire lifecycle of partner onboarding, including capability mapping, commercial negotiations, documentation, and tech/process alignment○ Standardize SLAs, contracts, and escalation workflows with partners○ Ensure smooth tech integrations and SOP adherence for go-live readiness● Market Benchmarking & Commercial Optimization○ Benchmark PTL pricing and service levels against market standards across zones○ Work closely with pricing, operations, and finance to build sustainable and competitive cost structures○ Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, or consolidation● Cross-functional Collaboration○ Coordinate with sales, operations, control tower, and tech teams to match partner capabilities with client requirements○ Support commercial discussions and RFPs by recommending suitable PTL partners per geography, TAT, and capability● Quality & Compliance Management○ Periodically review PTL partner performance and compliance with agreed KPIs○ Run periodic audits and review SLAs and RCA/CAPA outcomes for breach casesPreferred candidate profileQualifications & Experience:- 5-10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in PTL/Distribution/Milk-run operations. - Strong expertise in vendor management, delivery TATs, and failure resolution. - Proven ability to conduct RCA and CAPA for operational improvements. - Experience in commercial discussions and pricing strategy support. - Excellent team leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. - Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field.
