Job Description

The opening is for the role of Sales Manager / Asst. Sales Manager at Umed Bhawan Palace, Kotah – a heritage hotel in Kota, Rajasthan, India.Prerequisites- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Marketing, or related field.- Minimum 4-8 years of experience in hospitality sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.- Strong background in wedding, corporate, and leisure market sales, preferably in luxury or heritage hotels.- Fluent in English & Hindi: Highly effective oral and written skills.- Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills. Proficient in CRM, sales forecasting, and digital sales channels. Ability to lead a team, work under pressure, and deliver sales targets consistently.Key Tasks & Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth across all business segments (Weddings, Corporate, Domestic Leisure Travel, Foreign Tourists, Government, Banquets & MICE) by achieving sales targets and exploring new market opportunities in Hadoti, Kota, and nearby regions.- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team with daily supervision, performance reviews, training, and clear target setting to ensure a high-performance sales culture.- Personally handle and close major leads, including weddings, VIP clients, and corporate accounts, managing client visits, proposal development, pricing, negotiations, and deal finalization.- Develop the tourism / leisure-driven business segment by building and maintaining relationships with local, national, & international travel agents and DMCs- Lead wedding sales efforts by building strong ties with event planners, creating competitive packages, managing banquet calendars, and ensuring high-value event closures.- Maintain and expand corporate and institutional accounts (PSUs, coaching institutes, government bodies), renew contracts, and convert MICE business opportunities effectively.- Engage government, defense, and educational institutions for tenders, conferences, and official stays; ensure timely proposals and relationship management.- Create and distribute promotional material, periodic newsletters, and updates via email and WhatsApp from time-to-time to ensure key partners across segments to reinforce direct sales efforts.- Collaborate with other hotel department personnel for smooth event execution, maintain sales documentation and contracts, and generate strategic sales reports and MIS for management review.Apply- Interested Applicants fitting the above qualifications and requirements may send in their applications to hr@ and / or +91-9251005624, with the following documents:- (1) Resume; (2) Current / latest payslip; (3) Notice Period DetailsShortlisted candidates will be contacted to schedule interviews
