If you’ve watched enough creators to know what makes their cuts work, you’re already halfway there.Your job is simple, but not easy: take raw talking-head footage and make it addictive — fast cuts, perfect hooks, crisp pacing, animated text, and all the elements that keep a viewer glued.Key ResponsibilitiesEdit short-form videos (30–90 seconds) using raw footage providedAdd engaging subtitles, text overlays, emojis, and motion effectsSelect the most impactful hooks and frames to retain attentionMaintain a high bar for pacing, transitions, zooms, and sound alignmentMatch the visual editing style and pace of creators (Eg: Reference 1, Reference 2)Deliver output in vertical (9:16) format, optimized for Reels, Shorts, and LinkedInWho You AreSomeone with prior experience editing short-form videos for creators or brandsYou understand the psychology of retention and how to make videos binge-worthyYou’re hands-on, fast with execution, and open to constructive feedbackYou love working on creator-led content, especially in the business or education spaceYou’re updated with content trends and know what works algorithmicallySkills & RequirementsVideo editing experience is a must — this is not a learning-on-the-job roleYou should be fluent in at least one of the following tools:Adobe Premiere ProFinal Cut ProCapCut (Desktop)DaVinci ResolveStrong grasp of animated text, jump cuts, b-roll usage, and social platform best practicesAI-based editing or captioning tools are a cherry on top — not mandatory but definitely valuedBonus: Ability to handle audio balancing, color grading, or reel thumbnail design
