Position SummaryThe incumbent will be responsible for electrical design, automation configuration, and shop floor testing of control panels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical schematics using E-Plan softwareParticipate in kick-off meetings with customers to understand requirementsDevelop control system architecture, including PLC and drive selectionCollaborate with vendors to integrate new technologies into designsStandardize drawings by creating macros and maintaining records on the serverPrepare control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, ensuring customer approvalWork closely with engineering and execution teams to meet design specifications and standardsEnsure compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulationsIdentify and resolve electrical design issues as they ariseMaintain accurate project documentation and update records as neededContribute to continuous improvement initiatives for design efficiency and accuracyPrepare IO lists, load calculations, sensor lists, cable lists, and bills of materialsOversee procurement releases and assist with cost estimation for new projectsMonitor project progress and ensure timely executionCollaborate with project managers, engineers, field technicians, and clients for seamless coordinationGenerate technical reports, including cable diagrams, terminal diagrams, parts lists, and enclosure legends using E-PlanDefine and manage signal exchanges with customers' PLC systemsCandidate Profile:B. Tech in Electrical and Electronic or Electronic Communication/Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering, Diploma in MechatronicsGood academic records, 60 % & above across all academics4 to 6 years’ experience in Electrical design. EPLAN hands on Experience is a must.Project Experience – Must have completed minimum 2-3 projects on Material Handling lines, Experience across Steel industry, Food & beverages, Glass industry, System house would be an added advantageProficient in E-Plan P8 2.9, 2025 software.
