As the primary point of contact for job seekers and employers, the Job Placement Officer will play a critical role in connecting job seekers with the right job opportunities. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a deep understanding of the job market, and a passion for helping people find fulfilling careers.Responsibilities & DutiesProvide one-on-one career counseling and placement services to job seekersScreen job openings and match job seekers with appropriate opportunitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job openings and promote the organization's job placement servicesConduct outreach to community organizations and local schools to raise awareness of job placement servicesProvide job search support, including resume and cover letter writing assistance, interview preparation, and negotiation strategiesMaintain accurate records of job seekers' progress and job placement outcomesStay current on local job market trends and available job opportunitiesQualifications & SkillsExperience in career counseling or job placementStrong network of professional contacts across various industriesAbility to analyze job market trends and dataProficiency in career development software and toolsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work with diverse populationsExperience organizing events and workshopsKnowledge of labor laws and employment practicesBackground in human resources or recruitmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with job search databasesAbility to maintain confidential information and adhere to privacy laws
