Manager Business Acquisition and Strategy The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, connecting on social platforms or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They would also manage the activities of others stakeholders responsible for developing business for the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors.New Business Development Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased businessCold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure arobust pipeline of opportunitiesIdentify potential clients, and the decision makers within an organizationand meeting themPlan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectivesHandle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusionBusiness Development Planning Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trendsIdentify opportunities for campaigns, services that will lead to an increase in salesResearch and build relationships with new clients by finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting theTrack and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targetsQualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in Agency salesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen to and identify customers’ issues; ability to explain complex ideas and have a pleasing personality and appearanceThe role would require concept selling and therefore an ideal candidate should have a flair and inclination to do soThe candidate should also have knowledge of the major industry domains and ability to work under pressureThe person needs to have fantastic Presentation skills and has to have a knack for making deals/ proposals & costings on excel sheetsAssertive and go getter attitudeCapability to build relationships quickly, after first meeting or a phone call
