KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Research Excellence: Lead transformative research in aviation technology, with emphasis on sustainable aviation fuels, electric propulsion, autonomous systems, or digital twin technologies Establish and direct a research center focused on aviation innovation with projected external funding of $2M+ annually Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals (Impact Factor >3.0) and secure competitive grants from national and international funding agencies Develop strategic partnerships with leading aerospace companies (Boeing, Airbus, Rolls-Royce, ISRO) and research institutions globally Mentor doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers in cutting-edge aviation technologies Academic Leadership: Design and teach innovative courses in aviation systems engineering, aerospace technology management, and sustainable aviation at undergraduate and graduate levels Develop interdisciplinary curricula integrating aerospace engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and business strategy Lead executive education programs for aviation industry professionals and government officials Establish industry-academia partnerships for collaborative research and student internships Global Impact: Serve as thought leader in international aviation technology forums and policy discussions Contribute to regulatory frameworks for emerging aviation technologies (UAM, supersonic transport, space tourism) Collaborate with international research consortiums on global aviation challenges Represent Woxsen University at prestigious international conferences and symposiums REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or closely related field from a top-tier global university Minimum 8 years of post-doctoral experience with demonstrated excellence in aviation/aerospace research Proven track record of high-impact publications (minimum 25 peer-reviewed articles) in leading journals Demonstrated success in securing competitive research funding (minimum $1M+ in grants) Industry experience with major aerospace companies or aviation organizations preferred Strong record of doctoral student mentorship and graduate program development PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with emerging aviation technologies (eVTOL, supersonic transport, space transportation) Expertise in sustainable aviation technologies and environmental impact assessment Background in aviation policy, regulation, or safety management systems International research collaboration experience and cross-cultural competency Entrepreneurial experience in aviation technology commercialization Professional certifications (pilot license, aviation maintenance, etc.) valued but not required
