About the roleOur Client is focused on unlocking the power of data to improve patient’s health outcomes.We have a large regulated clinical trial program that we are working to productize,improve the efficiency and compliance with FDA standards. We are a team ofresearchers, engineers, data scientists, and clinicians, working together to take our datafrom raw sources to an enriched, research grade data product on a diverse set ofdiseases and healthcare devices.As a Software Engineer II, you’ll be a key part of a team improving a discrete set oftools and processes into a repeatable, automated, and audited pipeline to better onboardand process data for clinical trials. This role can blend developing tools toimprove transparency and efficiency with working with clinical counterparts to improvetheir work pipeline as well as automating system validation and documentation efforts for a low-friction rigorous product.What You’ll Do ● Participate in developing an efficient rigorous data pipeline for FDA regulated clinical trials● Delivers implementation that addresses near term needs and long term maintainability● Proactively discovers and addresses technical debt● Creates scalable and maintainable designs to solve well-defined problems● Designs automated approaches to common problems● Proposes improvements to products and processes, and clearly communicates tradeoffs● Promotes open communication that strengthens team relationshipsWhat Experience You’ll Bring● Effective programming skills in popular data engineering languages such as SQL and Python● Experience building data assets using modern data tools and technologies, such asSnowflake, Airbyte, Airflow, dbt, or similar● Comfortable working in an agile environment● Experience working in a regulated industry (healthcare, banking, defense)● Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat’s Nice to Have● Experience working in healthcare or life sciences● Experience or strong enthusiasm for automation for efficiency and security to transformhealthcarePhysical Requirements● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with everyqualification, we encourage you to apply anyway.
