Elior Group, headquartered in France is one of the leading global players in Food services, operating in India since 2017 with presence across metro cities.We are looking for an Experienced GM - QHSE for our India Business.Purpose of the Job Role The General Manager of Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance, food safety, occupational health, and environmental management within PAN India Central Kitchens for Elior’s catering and food service operations. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining QSHE strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Roles and ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance: Develop and implement comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and services. Conduct regular audits and inspections of food production, storage, and service areas to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations. Lead the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Monitor customer feedback and conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement. Food Safety:Ensure all food safety protocols, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and other food safety standards, are implemented and adhered to across all sites. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for food safety hazards. Oversee the training and certification of staff in food safety and hygiene practices. Manage incident reporting and root cause analysis for food safety breaches. Health and Safety:Develop and enforce health and safety policies that protect employees, customers, and visitors. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments. Oversee the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented. Provide leadership in emergency preparedness and crisis management, ensuring all staff are trained in emergency procedures. Leadership and Management:Provide leadership and direction to the QSHE team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Develop and manage the QSHE budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Procurement) to integrate QSHE practices into all aspects of the business. Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on QSHE performance, initiatives, and compliance. Qualifications and ExperienceEducational Background:Bachelor's degree in food science, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Professional certifications in QSHE management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP) are highly desirable. Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience Proven experience in developing and implementing QSHE systems and procedures. Experience in managing large-scale catering operations or multi-site food service operations is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, occupational health and safety legislation, and environmental management principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in QSHE software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
