Job Title: PGT Psychology cum School CounsellorLocation: New Delhi Banyan Tree School is looking for a qualified and empathetic PGT Psychology cum Counsellor who can take on a dual role — teaching Psychology at the Senior Secondary level and providing student counselling services to support emotional well-being and personal development.Essential Qualifications:Master's Degree in Psychology from a recognized universityB.Ed. degree (mandatory for teaching role)A diploma or certification in counselling psychology/child psychology (preferred)Experience:Minimum 4—5 years of experience teaching Psychology at the Senior Secondary levelProven experience in school counselling or student support servicesKey Responsibilities (Academic):Teach Psychology to Classes Xl and Xll as per CBSE curriculumDesign and implement creative lesson plans that promote critical thinking and real-life applicationPrepare students for CBSE board examinations, practical's, and psychology-related competitionsEncourage a research-based, discussion-oriented classroom environmentKey Responsibilities (Counselling):Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students on academic, emotional, behavioural, and social issuesIdentify and support students with learning difficulties, stress, peer-related concerns, or other psychological challengesWork in coordination with teachers and parents to develop student support strategiesConduct regular mental health awareness programs, life skills workshops, and well-being sessionsMaintain confidentiality and accurate records of all interactions.
